The base is quite simple and works with LR44 batteries (which I received), but being a 2026 model, it could have a USB-C input instead of those batteries. The lighting is multicolored, creating a transition effect between the colors. The Pokémon design is quite well-executed and overall looks pretty good. The glass ball has a flat base on the side that rests on the surface so that it doesn't roll.

Fabulous! the ball is made of glass, underneath it is very light plastic. It has two LEDs that rotate colors and comes with 3 small button batteries (LR44 I believe). the light doesn't last very long but if turned on for a while during the evening to keep company on the desk, it lasts about a month.
